FERPA aligned
We operate as a school official under FERPA. Student education records are accessed only for the legitimate educational interest your school assigns, and never for any other purpose.
Privacy & trust
Boomerang Classroom is designed around a simple promise: student data exists to help students learn. It does not exist for advertising, profiling, or surveillance. Ever.
We operate as a school official under FERPA. Student education records are accessed only for the legitimate educational interest your school assigns, and never for any other purpose.
For students under 13, we collect only what is needed for the educational service, with school authorization standing in for parental consent as COPPA permits in the school context.
Our practices align with state student-data privacy laws, including Illinois SOPPA, California SOPIPA, and the Student Privacy Pledge principles.
We do not sell student data. We do not run targeted ads. We do not build behavioral profiles. Student information is used only to deliver the service your school requested.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is role-based, audited, and limited to the minimum needed for support and operations.
Schools own their data. We provide export and deletion on request. When a contract ends, student records are returned or securely destroyed per your district's policy.
The full Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Data Processing Addendum (DPA) will be published before the beta opens. Schools enrolling in the beta receive a signed DPA as part of onboarding.
